Ayurveda Yoga Retreat Marbella

Counting Down to our Marbella Yoga Retreat 21-28 November

Not long to go now to our very special Yoga Retreat and we’re very excited!!

This retreat will restore, relax and rejuvenate in just 7 days. Guests will enjoy yoga training, workshops, healthy vegetarian, Ayurvedic food and the comfort, peace and great vibes at The Urban Villa boutique hotel near Marbella.

Loads of guests have said what a relaxing hotel we have, and how they feel that the fresh air, peace and breath taking views really makes the stress melt away. So last year we got to work creating a perfect outdoor yoga lawn area, which guests have loved and yoga instructors have gone crazy about. With views that have to be seen to be believed and total peace and quiet, this area will be sure to inspire you, and we have plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to suit all activities.

Yoga Retreat

The lovely Lori Sjollema fell head over heels with The Urban Villa and couldn’t wait to arrange a retreat here and we’re delighted to have her here with us in November.

She will be leading our 7 day Marbella yoga retreat and sharing her 30 years of experience and her extensive training in different yoga practices. She will be teaching students the philosophy, movements and breathing techniques of the different forms of yoga, leading discussions and workshops and detoxing with healthy food.  Our organic vegetable garden, packed with delicious fresh produce, makes zero food miles a cinch and will form an important part of the yummy, healthy, vegetarian menu.

One of the topics being explored at this retreat is Ayurveda, an ancient system of holistic healthcare which focuses on all areas of health, including diet, lifestyle, exercise, detoxification, sleep, and the mind. It’s a great companion to yoga and really fascinating and we can’t wait to learn more about it. We will be doing a demonstration of how to make an easy meal, seeded bread, healthy porridge and more to start the day. Students will also find out what their Ayurvedic body type is to find out which foods are most beneficial to them to enhance their health and ensure they have lots of energy. The last two days of the retreat will be really exciting as it will focus on Kundalini Yoga, a fast and fierce form of yoga said to be the fast track to enlightenment. This is a very special opportunity to learn this amazing form from the team at The Kundalini Research Institute and Yoga Lifestyle Ibiza. Yoga is so good for you and has a surprising number of health benefits. It’s an amazing way to handle depression, back pain, ease symptoms of asthma and even act as a fertility aid!
